A mythical creature with a goat's upper body and a fish tail emerging from ocean waves at night

Every month, the Full Moon has its own personality. Some are dreamy. Some are emotional. Some practically beg us to dance barefoot under the stars. And then there’s the Full Moon in Capricorn.

She’s the one carrying a clipboard.

Just when we’re settling into summer mode—planning vacations, firing up the grill, convincing ourselves we’ll “get back to it next week”—Capricorn shows up, taps us on the shoulder, and asks one simple question:

“So…how’s that working out for you?”

Ouch.

But before you start hiding from the Moon, hear me out. This isn’t about guilt, criticism, or beating yourself up because life doesn’t look exactly the way you imagined back in January—quite the opposite.

This Full Moon is one of my favorites because it gives us permission to stop pretending everything is fine if it isn’t. It asks us to take an honest look at what’s working, what’s draining us, and what we’re ready to leave behind. That’s not failure. That’s wisdom.

Less Hustle. More Purpose

The timing couldn’t be better.

We’re halfway through the year. (Halfway!) Somewhere around January, we all had big plans. Maybe you were going to start a business, write a book, lose weight, meditate every morning, or finally clean out that one closet that has become a portal to another dimension.

How’s that going? See? Capricorn has a way of asking the questions the rest of us try very hard to avoid.

Less Hustle. More Purpose

The beautiful thing about this Full Moon is that it isn’t asking you to do more. In fact, it may be asking you to do less. Less overthinking. Less people pleasing. Less carrying responsibilities that were never yours to begin with.

Instead, it’s asking you to build a life that’s actually sustainable. One that supports your dreams instead of exhausting you in the process.

Your Full Moon Toolkit

One of the best ways I know to work with any Full Moon is with Tarot or Oracle cards. I’ve created a four-card spread for the Capricorn Full Moon that will help you identify what’s working, where you’ve taken on too much, what will create lasting stability, and your next grounded step forward.

Tomorrow I’ll walk you through the spread and share how to get the most from your reading. And if you’re the kind of person who loves to go deeper, you’ll find the complete Full Moon guide, expanded card interpretations, and every New and Full Moon through the end of the year inside my Guided by the Moon ebook available at Magik Muse Shop 444 on Etsy.

We’ll also be doing one of my favorite Full Moon release rituals. It’s wonderfully simple—just a candle, a few bay leaves, your journal, and a willingness to let go of whatever has become too heavy to carry. I’ll even show you how to make my Moonlight Oil: Release & Rise to add a little extra magik to the ritual.

Closing Thoughts

Over the next four days, we’re going to prepare for this Full Moon together. Each day builds on the last, so I hope you’ll join me for the entire countdown.

Until tomorrow… enjoy the journey, and keep a little magik in your day.
