Known as Litha in many pagan traditions, it marks the longest day of the year when the Sun reaches its peak strength and the world seems to glow with life. Gardens are flourishing, flowers are blooming, and nature is showing off a bit. If there was ever a time to celebrate growth, abundance, and possibility, this is it.

The Solstice is also closely connected to the legends of Midsummer. Folklore tells us that the veil between worlds grows thin, fairies become especially active, and wishes, dreams, and magik carry a little extra power. Whether you believe in the fae folk or simply appreciate the symbolism, there is something undeniably enchanting about this turning point of the year.

I like to think of the Summer Solstice as a cosmic pause button.
