Okay, true story: this spread wasn’t my idea. It was gifted to me by a friend* during one of those weeks โ the kind where you’re spinning your wheels, nothing’s clicking, and you find yourself asking your Oracle deck the same question five different ways just to see if it’ll give you a nicer answer.
Sound familiar?

I was in a funk. Trying to force decisions. My brain was doing Olympic-level overthinking, and my readings were starting to feel like a cosmic game of Mad Libs. So my friend gently suggested, “Maybe try asking your heart instead.”
Boom. Game changer.
That’s when I started using this spread โ not to get a magic answer, but to get out of my own way.

๐ง Why regular “I” questions can derail your readings
Here’s the thing: when things are intense โ deadlines, money worries, client ghosts, launch flops โ it’s easy to come to your cards in a state. You pull with hope, but also lowkey panic. You ask:
- “What should I do?”
- “Why is this happening to me?”
- “How do I fix this?!”
And guess who shows up to interpret those cards? Your ego. Not the wise, grounded version of you โ nope. The caffeinated, slightly panicked, control-freak part. And when that version tries to read the cards? You get confusion, projection, and lots of staring at the Ten of Swords like “So… I’m just supposed to die now??”
That’s why this spread is so helpful โ because it removes the “I” from the question entirely.

๐ A different way to ask
This is a different approach than most spreads. Instead of asking the cards for guidance on your behalf, you are asking on behalf of your heart. As if, your heart is detached from you and is it’s own being. That little shift creates just enough distance to quiet the drama and actually hear the truth.

๐ฎ The Spread:
Getting to the Heart of It โ One card at a time
Pull these cards when you feel stuck, unsure, or like your inner compass has a dead battery. It’s perfect for business decisions, life pivots, or those “I don’t know what I’m doing but I know this ain’t it” moments.

Card 1: What does my heart truly desire?
This gets past the productivity pressure and to the good stuff โ what your heart actually wants. Not what looks good on Instagram. Not what everyone else is doing. What feels right in your bones.
Card 2: What does my heart want me to know?
Now your heart gets a turn to speak. It might offer comfort. It might drop some tough love. Either way, this card gives you that honest little whisper you’ve probably been ignoring.
Card 3: What steps can I take this week to help me reach my heart’s desire?
This is the anchor. It is the do-this-now card. Because, let’s be real, insight alone isn’t going to get us what we need. We need to take action. One small, heart-led move can shift your whole week.

โจ Real talk from the front lines
I once used this spread when I was about to totally scrap a program I loved โ just because it wasn’t selling the way I expected. My ego said, “Cut it. Pivot. Reinvent everything.” But when I checked in with my heart?
The cards said: You’re tired, not uninspired.
You don’t need a rebrand, you need a nap and a better launch plan.
Oof. Truth bomb delivered.
And because I was asking on behalf of my heart โ not my worried, goal-chasing brain โ I actually listened. I didn’t burn it down. I tweaked a few things, took better care of myself, and guess what? The next round sold beautifully.

๐ก Final thoughts
When in doubt, tune in. Let your heart speak. Get out of the “what am I supposed to do?” loop and into something softer, smarter, and way more sustainable.
Because at the end of the day, your heart knows what you’re really here for โ and it’s probably not just spreadsheets, reels, or fighting your Canva template for the 12th time.
So try it. Pull the cards.
Get to the heart of it. One card at a time!
